For roll call the Bloomfield Garden Club members named a greenery used in decorating when the club met on November 7 at Lakeview Hall. Final plans for the trip to the County Home on Wednesday, November 15 at 1:30 were discussed by Lois Hauser. Janet Mann attended the County Garden Club meeting and stated the club drew Halloween for the 2007 year holiday for the County Home. As the new representative for the County Garden Clubs, Mann said she would be meeting with each garden club. Mann discussed a letter to be sent to the Holmes County Fair Board with suggestions for the 2007 fair flower exhibits. It was agreed by club members that a representative of each club should be involved in working with Jamie Darr for a successful show.
Bev Tyla provided the horticultural exhibit on Top Garden Projects for November which included suggestions for plantings during this month. Glenda Stephens instructed the members in constructing their own boxwood wreaths for the holidays. Members used apples, lemons, pinecones, berries and lavender as embellishments.
Hostesses for the evening were Lois Hauser and Ruth Ann Ware. A visit to Possum Run Greenhouse & Gifts in Belleville is scheduled for the December 5 meeting with a stop for lunch at Malabar Farm.
